Salakatla Jyeshtabhishekam at Tirumala 2025
The annual
Jyeshtabhishekam will be observed at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple
from June 9 to 11, honoring the sacred deities.
This three-day ritual,
also known as Abhidhyeyaka Abhishekam, serves to protect and preserve
the ceremonial idols of Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sridevi, and Bhudevi,
ensuring their sanctity despite centuries of worship.
Sacred Adornment of the
Deity
- Day 1:
The golden armour is removed, followed by homas, abhishekams,
and Tirumanjanam. The deity is then adorned with a diamond armour.
- Day 2:
A pearl armour replaces the diamond.
- Day 3:
The deity is re-adorned with the golden armour, which remains
throughout the year.
Significance
This ritual represents spiritual
purification and divine preservation, reinforcing the eternal connection
between devotees and Sri Malayappa Swamy.
A powerful spectacle of devotion,
tradition, and cosmic balance, Jyeshtabhishekam is a cherished event that
allows devotees to witness Sri Swami’s divine transformation.
