Pavithrotsavams at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, Tirupati (July 6–9, 2025)

 

The annual Pavithrotsavams, celebrated as per the sacred Saiva Agama Shastra, will be observed at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati from July 6 to 9. These purificatory rituals serve to atone for any inadvertent lapses in daily temple worship over the past year.

 July 6 
Ankurarpanam marks the ritual beginning at 6 PM.

 July 7 (Day 1):

  • Morning: Snapana Tirumanjanam to Utsava Murthis
  • Evening: Kalasha Puja, Homa, and Pavitra Pratishtha

July 8 (Day 2):

  • Morning: Granthi Pavitra Samarpana
  • Evening: Yagashala Puja and Homa

July 9 (Day 3):

  • Morning: Maha Purnahuti, Kalasha Udhvasana, and Pavitra Samarpana
  • Evening: Grand procession of Panchamurthis—Sri Kapileswara Swamy, Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru, Sri Vighneswara Swamy, Sri Subrahmanya Swamy, and Sri Chandikeswara Swamy—gracing devotees along the temple streets at 6 PM.
