Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya’s 617th Birth Anniversary Celebrations
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is set to commemorate the 617th birth anniversary of Saint-Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya in a grand and spiritual manner from May 12 to May 18. These celebrations will take place at Tallapaka, his birthplace, and Tirupati, where his musical and literary legacy continues to resonate.
Celebrations at Tallapaka
- On May 12, Srinivasa
Kalyanam will be performed at 10:30 AM in front of the Dhyana
Mandiram, marking the spiritual commencement of the event.
- From May 12 to 14, evening
cultural programs will feature devotional music and dance
performances near the majestic 108-feet statue of Annamacharya,
paying homage to his poetic brilliance.
Celebrations at Tirupati
- The Annamacharya Kalamandiram
will host literary seminars from May 13 to 17 between 10:30
AM and 1 PM, exploring his contributions to devotional poetry.
- From May 12 to 18, morning
and evening performances will bring music and dance to life,
featuring eminent artists who continue his legacy.
