Brahmotsavams at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Buragamanda 2025 Dates
The serene village of
Buragamanda in Sadum Mandal, Chittoor District, is gearing up for the annual
Brahmotsavams of the sacred Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple. This
celestial festival, scheduled from May 7 to May 17.
- May 7:
The celebrations commence with the Ankurarpanam, marking the
auspicious beginning of the Brahmotsavams.
- May 8 to May 16:
- Tiruchi Utsavam
will be performed every morning at 9 AM.
- Vahana Sevas,
featuring exquisitely adorned vehicles carrying the presiding deity, will
take place every evening at 8 PM.
- May 17:
The grand culmination with the Pushpayagam (flower offering ritual)
at 5 PM.
Vahana Seva Highlights
Each evening during the
Brahmotsavams brings a unique divine experience with the Vahana Sevas. These
processions symbolize the deity's journey to bless the devotees. Here's the

Dwajarohanam – The flag hoisting ceremony to inaugurate the
festivities.
- May 9:
Sesha Vahanam – Symbolizing the serpent Adishesha.
- May 10:
Hamsa Vahanam – Representing wisdom and purity.
- May 11:
Hanumantha Vahanam – Honoring Lord Hanuman's devotion and strength.
- May 12:
Kalyanotsavam and Garuda Vahanam – The celestial wedding and Garuda
procession.
- May 13:
Pushpa Pallaki – A colorful palanquin adorned with flowers.
- May 14:
Simha Vahanam – Representing courage and power.
- May 15:
Ashwa Vahanam – Signifying speed and vigor.

- Morning:
Chakrasnanam – Sacred bath for the divine disc (chakra).
- Evening:
Gaja Vahanam and Dwajavarohanam – Concluding with the elephant
