Tirumala, the abode of the Universal Supremo of Kaliyuga, Sri Venkateswara Swamy, is always abuzz with pilgrim activities and religious festivities. Every day is a festival in Tirumala, rightly described as “Nitya Kalyanam – Pachatoranam”. There are only 365 days a year but more than 450 festivals are being observed around the year in Tirumala which is no exaggeration. These festivals are categorized into Nityotsavams(daily), Pakshotsavams(fortnightly), Masotsavams(monthly), Samvatsarotsavams(yearly), Nakshatrotsavams(based on birth stars). Daily festivities include Suprabhatam, Tomala, Sahasranamarchana, weekly festivals like Ashtadala Padapadmaradhana, Pulangi, Shukravara Abhishekam, star festivals like Rohini, Arudra, Punarvasu, Shravanam will be observed.
